FAQ

  • What is equine bodywork and how can it help my horse?

Equine bodywork is a hands-on therapy that supports your horse’s physical, emotional, and energetic well-being. Through massage, myofascial release, and targeted techniques, we help relieve tension, improve mobility, enhance circulation, and support overall balance. Bodywork is especially beneficial for performance horses, seniors, rescues, or any horse needing a little extra care.

  • How do I know if my horse needs a bodywork session?

Common signs include stiffness, reduced performance, behavioral changes, difficulty picking up leads, sensitivity to grooming or tack, or just seeming “off.” Even without visible issues, bodywork supports wellness and can prevent problems from developing.

  • What should I expect during a session?

Sessions typically last 60–75 minutes. I begin by observing your horse’s movement, then perform a full-body hands-on evaluation and treatment. I always adjust my approach based on your horse’s comfort level, and I’ll share my findings with you after the session, along with any recommendations for ongoing care.

  • How often should my horse receive bodywork?

Every horse is different. Some benefit from monthly sessions for maintenance, while others may need weekly work during recovery or training. After the first session, I’ll provide a personalized plan based on your horse’s specific needs and goals.

  • Do you travel to barns or offer services onsite only?

Yes, I’m a mobile practitioner serving Central Oregon. I come directly to your barn or facility to ensure your horse is as relaxed and comfortable as possible in their home environment.
